Children's Forum Training
The Children's Forum has been recognized as a leading provider of
school-age training for Florida's after-school and summer camp
communities, since the inception of the School-Age Services Division
in 1999. Jenn Faber, Director of
School-Age Services & Development, plus a variety of local, state
and national training consultants offer a wide range of training
options for the many after-school professionals involved in the care
and education of young children. High-quality, cost-effective training
is essential to the development of professional early education
services and is related to the quality of care and education children
ultimately receive.
Our Training Options:
- Ongoing regional seminars and mini-conferences are offered
to address varied topics based on relevance and importance to
the field of after-school. Check the training sessions listed
below for our current offerings.
- Training sessions can be expressly designed to meet the needs
of local programs and organizations upon request. Click here for

Seminar Description: 'Everything Afterschool' is the perfect back-to-school seminar for providers serving grades K-5. Directors can also benefit by taking this training back their program as a great professional development offering. The Children's Trust 2008 Out-of-School Conference: Oct 3 & 4, 2008 - Miami, FL

Sponsored by: The Children's Trust - a dedicated source of revenue established by voter referendum to improve the lives of children and families in Miami-Dade County.
Participant Criteria: This event is limited to out-of-school providers funded by The Children's Trust. Additional training events open to the public are available statewide.

Mini-Conference Description: 'The Children's Trust 2008 Out-of-School Conference' is a 2-day training event designed for out-of-school program providers serving grades K-12. Each conference we feature new workshop topics, presenters, and exhibitors! Friday's agenda will feature workshop topics designed specifically for administrators and site directors. Saturday's agenda is designed for both management and direct care staff.

Continuing Education Units: Most workshops will be CEU authorized. Please check final program for authorization; CEU credit is offered through an additional fee of $20 through pre-registration and $25 on-site.
Workshops: Workshops will be presented by local, state & national trainers. Our Workshops-At-A-Glance flyer will be available after September 5, 2008.
Exhibitors: Exhibits will be featured each day of training. Exhibit BINGO and door prizes will be offered daily! Download Exhibit Application and register by September 5.
Registration Deadlines: Registration is now open and will close on September 19 at 5pm. Training Fee must accompany registration form.
Discount Registrations: The first 200 registrations for Friday, received prior to September 5 will be available at the rate of $25. Limit of 5 staff per program at this rate.
The first 300 registrations for Saturday, received prior to September 5 will be available at the rate of $25. Limit of 10 staff per program at this rate.
