Proposed Changes to the Federal Child Care and Development Block Grant
Sen. Robert Casey (D-PA) has proposed amending the Child Care and
Development Block Grant. The bill, entitled Starting Early, Starting
Right Act amends the Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG)
and recognizes that affordable, high-quality child care helps
children develop the skills they need to be ready for school.
The bill also helps families get ahead by giving parents the support
and peace of mind they need to be productive at work. Visit the
National Women's Law Center for more information and how you can
support these efforts. www.nwlc.org
